"Flaps upon flaps upon flaps—100 of them—are layered on top of each other like gift boxes filled with surprises! Acclaimed master paper engineer and illustrator David Carter offers children a magical experience as they uncover an array of 100 wonderful things in a treasure trove of landscapes. From bustling city streets; to scenes deep undersea; to a prehistoric world with dinosaurs, this clever, visually astonishing book will not only amaze kids, but teach them to count up to 100 too!"

This book is perfect for preschoolers and kindergartners.  My preschooler loves it and it's the perfect tool for teaching children how to count to 100.  The book is so colorful and inviting.  Because of the details in this book, parental supervision is suggested for the younger crowd as the flaps are delicate making it easy to tear.  This would also be a great opportunity to teach book respect.

my kids learned counting until 100 by counting pennies

I am teaching my three little ones to count by taking objects around the house and when we are out and about and making it a game to count it. They really enjoy this way of learning!
