Moisturize with Replens/Giveaway

Good morning Michigan business mommies!  It's Friday, HOORAY!  To kick off the weekend I thought it would be fun to do a mini giveaway. With that said,  I'm going to get a little personal and that's okay as we are all women here and face certain physical changes in our lives. It's nice to be able to have a place where we can confide with each other on these issues.

There is a feminine moisturizer out there called Replens.  Ever heard of it?  Me either, but it did spark my interest in a sense and it may grab your attention as well.

What exactly is Replens?  Glad you asked.  Here are the details below on this particular moisturizing product:

"Menopause might be the most common reason for feminine dryness, but other factors, such as medications/chemo, excessive exercise, stress, childbirth/nursing or tampon use can also be the culprit. However, there is no reason pain and discomfort from feminine dryness should stand in the way of your having a satisfying and comfortable intimate relationship. Enter Replens® Long-Lasting Vaginal Moisturizer."

"Over-the-counter Replens® is non-hormonal, and helps to alleviate vaginal dryness symptoms equivalent to that of prescription hormones, helping to replenish vaginal moisture and providing long-lasting results[1]. When used regularly, Replens® helps to replenish vaginal moisture making for comfortable, enjoyable intimacy."
"With comfortable, easy-to-use applicators, Replens® is different from other lotions or lubricants because it contains a bioadhesive that allows it to attach to dry, compacted cells and deliver continuous moisture until those cells are naturally regenerated (about every 3 to 5 days). Use it approximately every three days for long-lasting hydration of dry vaginal tissues and feel more like yourself again."

Replens is also:
Ø Clinically tested
Ø Goes to work immediately and lasts for days
Ø Gynecologist recommended
Ø Estrogen and fragrance free
Ø Readily available at stores nationwide, such as CVS, Walmart, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, Target, Walgreens and more
"So bring back the spontaneity and say goodbye to discomfort. Use Replens® to Rediscover. Reconnect. Rekindle."

You can also find Replens on Facebook.

*Because this is a Christian blog and many of you are Christian mom readers, we will take this information as married women and nothing more.  I believe intimate relationships should be kept in the marriage bed only as designed by God above!

This giveaway will be conducted in a very quick and easy way.  Basically, the first "Michigan business mom" to respond to this post in the comment box below expressing interest in this product will receive a full product of Replens (8 pre-filled disposable applicators).  Please comment by June 30th, 2012.

Disclaimer

I have never personally tried this product so please use your own discretion when expressing personal interest in the product itself.  Michigan Home Mommy Works blog is not associated with this product in any way other than the giveaway.  Any issues with this product must be taken up with the company.

These past few days have most definitely felt like summer, YAY!  It is by far one of my favorite seasons.  As I lounged in the summer heat today while watching my sweet girls play in the spray park, I was thinking up some fun summer recipes.  From desserts to entrees, there are so many great recipes out there, especially if you don't have to use the oven!

I dug up 5 summer recipes and a couple I am looking forward to giving a try.  Here they are in random order:

5 Favorite Summer Recipes
  1. Cucumber and Winter Purslane Yogurt Salad

  3. Sweet and Tangy Melon Slaw
  4. Nectarine Cream Cheese Tartlets
  5. Yogurt Cake with Blueberry Sauce
I am aching to try the Nectarine Cream Cheese Tarts and the Sweet and Tangy Melon Slaw.  They sound beyond delish.  I recently just started using thedailygreen.com.  They have awesome recipes on there that happen to be a hit with the family, especially the kids!  If you click the recipe links above you will see that all of the mentioned recipes are from thedailygreen.com.  Enjoy!

Work From Home Business Opportunities

Good morning Michigan business moms.  Do you know a fellow Michigan mom interested in working from home? Working from home is not impossible but it can be a challenge to find that perfect opportunity.

I have compiled a list of business opportunities to help get your juices flowing.  Really, if you are creative and talented in a specific area you can turn it into a business.

Business Opportunities
  • Licensed Day Care Operator
  • Gift Basket Making Business
  • Pet Services Business
  • Scrapbooking Business
  • Baked Goods Business
  • Image Consultants
  • Nanny Services
  • Online Home Business
Realistically, there are more ideas out there but this is just a brief list to help you get an idea of what kind of business can be started within the home.  Keep in mind when starting any business an investment may be required.  Work from home businesses are not to be confused with work from home jobs.  Work from home jobs do not require an investment.  Many employers out there let their employees work from home.  This is definitely worth checking into but in the meantime, you can start building your work from home mom business even if it's something you want to do on the side.

In a future post I will go more into detail regarding work from home jobs rather than work from home businesses.  In this post I will list some potential work from home jobs that you can even apply for.  So, get those resumes ready!

Support Michigan Mom Business: Honey Bee Academy

Calling on all Michigan mom businesses.  We have a fellow mompreneur in need of support for her childcare business.

Melissa Pangle, of Honey Bee Academy, is looking to expand her business by adding a special needs program and provide scholarships for low income families.  In order to help make this happen, she is in need of some votes.  Before I give you information where you can vote here is a summary of what Melissa's goals are for her program:

"Honey Bee is constantly growing. The property consists of 2 buildings. Our current building is 2,214 square feet with two duplex style offices containing their own classrooms, kitchen, and bathroom. Our future plans will include opening the second building to have a special needs wing."

"The special needs classroom will be equipped with certified teachers trained to work directly with children in need of these services.  Special needs include but are not limited to children with autism, brain damage, etc.  This program will focus on integrating children into the real world and into an average classroom whenever possible.  The program will also feature therapy rooms.  Local children and therapists will be able to use these specific rooms by appointment when childcare hours are not in session."

"Special therapy rooms have proven to be beneficial for children and young adults with a wide variety of needs. Our goal is to create rooms that will be entertaining yet educational. Therapy rooms come in many varieties. Here is an example of what we plan to build in one of our therapy rooms Click Here to view."

"Additional support will include visual, sensory, physical, occupational and more. We plan on working with special needs teachers and programs to create an environment that can benefit the greatest amount of children and young adults. Our special needs wing will include a lending center which will include items the families can check out to continue their use at home."

If you would like to vote for Honey Bee Academy to receive the proper financial aid for these services, go to
  • www.missionsmallbusiness.com
  • Click login and support on the lower left corner (you must be logged into fb to do this)
  • Search for Honey Bee Academy in Dexter, MI
  • Click support!
And that's it!  The site does not as for any personal information.  I voted yesterday and it was super easy.  You are able to share your vote with your friends on facebook.

Thanks for your support!

The case of the mommy blog scare

Thank you Michigan business moms for your patience during my mommy blog scare.  The other day I was working on the "Home Mommy Advertising" blog (so I thought) and went to upload a new template and YIKES.......it was then I realized I was not in "Home Mommy Advertising" but "Michigan Home Mommy Works."  It was too late! Everything was gone, ugh.  My throat felt like it was in my stomach and I began sweating bullets.  Ever feel like that when you make one of those mistakes? Eeek.  I immediately contacted my designer.  She just now started saving clients templates so unfortunately, I wasn't one of them, boo. But in case that does happen again, she has my template saved, yay!  May God bless Jenn from Munchkin Land Designs for coming to my rescue, pheww!  Can you say mommy brain? Bleh lol Yeah, I have been having that a lot lately. LOL  So glad I can laugh about this now because it definitely was not a hilarious moment.

I hope you have a blessed weekend everyone!  Stay tuned for updated posts and also stay tuned for the launch of "Home Mommy Advertising" blog probably by the end of next week.

Home Mommy Advertising Blog

As many of you may have already heard, I have a new hobby business venture (Home Mommy Advertising) in the works.  While my separate freelance writing business keeps me very busy I still wanted to create something more for moms who have businesses or who desire to work from home.  With that said, Home Mommy Advertising will be launching a blog prior to the business launch very soon.

Home Mommy Advertising was conceived a year prior to Michigan Home Mommy Works blog.  It is now in the third trimester so to speak and hoping to be born by the end of summer or early fall of 2012.  In the mean time, the Home Mommy Advertising blog will be made available sometime next week to keep everyone up to date on the launch of my new hobby business "Home Mommy Advertising."

Home Mommy Advertising will not be specifically targeted to just Michigan moms like that of the blog.  It will be targeted to all business and work from home moms alike.

How will I keep up with Home Mommy Advertising while also keeping up with Michigan Home Mommy Works blog and my freelance writing business?  I know it will be a challenge at times but doing so will be a joy.  If I knew I couldn't do it then I wouldn't that is for sure.  The fact is, I want to do it so I will make the time, haha!  My freelance writing business (Lindsey's Freelance Writing) may be a lot of work at times as I do have quite a few clients with consistent deadlines, but I can't complain as it can all be done from home.  This in itself is a major blessing to be able to work from home.  It was something I wanted for 6 years.  All glory goes to God above.  Now it's my desire to help moms who also want to make income from home or start a home-based business on top of showcasing established businesses.

With Home Mommy Advertising, I will also be able to offer other services such as blog and social media management, resume services, work from home job or business searches, and more.  So again, keep an eye out for Home Mommy Advertising blog to stay up to date on the upcoming launch.  It is my hopes to get it published next week sometime if not sooner.  So stay tuned....

Many blessings!

Wildtree

Michigan business moms, I would like to introduce to you a business that is not only rewarding, but also healthy and beneficial to you and your family.  What is this mom business I am speaking of?  Wildtree!

Before I showcase Wildtree, I would like to introduce to you a Michigan mom who is currently a representative for this company.  Aimee Lloyd, joined as a representative to Wildtree in January of 2012.  Aimee is a wife and a stay at home mother of a two year old little girl.  Aimee strives to make healthy foods for her and her family and this is where Wildtree entered her life.

"Much to my surprise, my daughter loves the food!" ~Aimee Lloyd

Because Aimee is currently a stay at home mother, she felt compelled to contribute to her household financially.  Wildtree has made this desire reality.  Aimee feels that being a part of Wildtree makes sense for her and her family.

"Since everyone has to eat, I was looking for a healthy spin on foods I already ate." ~Aimee Lloyd

Aimee is excited to see where her endeavors with Wildtree will go considering there are only 300 representatives in Michigan.

What is Wildtree?

"All of our products are completely "ALL NATURAL"; they contain NO preservatives, additives, chemicals, dyes, or MSG!  They have no hydrogenated oils (Trans Fat) or high fructose corn syrup.  Did I mention that all of our flour is unbleached?  Approximately 80 percent of our products are GLUTEN-FREE and we are completely a NUT-FREE facility.  Wildtree over-sees every step of the process, in-house.  All of this promotes a healthier lifestyle.  We believe in the value of making cooking quicker, easier, healthier, and delicious, all at the same time."

Why choose Wildtree?

"Most of us do not cook from scratch anymore simply because there is NO TIME!  Packaged foods do make our life easier but they are also expensive, loaded with fats, salts, and preservatives, and just not as tasty as homemade."

With Wildtree you get:

  •  Healthy Nutrition- All natural ingredients
  • Simple Meal Solutions-Do you like the sound of 5-15 minutes prep time?  If so, you can make our Just Like Moms Meatloaf, Alfredo Extraordinaire, Shrimp Scampi, and so much more!  Best of all, this is easy to make.
  • Delicious Foods-Who knew that healthy could be this good?
  • Affordable, healthy foods-"Stretch your grocery dollar with all natural meal solutions from Wildtree."
How can you experience Wildtree?
  • In-home tasting
  • Freezer Meal Workshops
  • Order Online
  • Culinary Club Membership (20 percent off online purchases)
  • Fundraisers
**Amazing Business Opportunity**

"We are a fast growing company looking for reps nationwide (a little over 300 reps in Michigan)."  If extra $$ each month would help your family, please contact me at alloyd7@gmail.com or visit my online store at www.wildtree.com/aimeel

Aimee also loved Thirty-One products.  Check out her site here.

Thank you so much Aimee for allowing me to showcase your fabulous business.  It has been a joy and a pleasure.
